If there is no delay for several weeks Vega will take off from a launch pad in France guineas, and

30 meters high rocket named after the star Vega (whose full name is Vettore Europeo di Generazione Avanzata, parsisiusti torenta or, translated, European Advanced Generation Carrier Rocket) would, according to the current plan ESA command should first take off on 9 February 2012.
The development of this system, in cooperation with other ESA member states, implemented the ISA since 1998. Its role will be to raise small cargo into orbit (up to 1500 pounds, mainly satellites), as opposed to the much more massive Ariane 5 system.
If there is no delay for several weeks Vega will take off from a launch pad in France guineas, and that, as is usual for the first flight, without the baggage. We hope that the event marked a successful start to the year for ESA.
