After several months of delays and some last minute nasa curiosity proleme new private space rocket Falcon 9 has been finally successfully launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida yesterday, June 4, at 21:45 GMT. The rocket is built by a private company, SpaceX, led by Elon Musk, a founder of PayPal. Successor's Falcon 1 rocket has reached new orbital parameters SpaceX plan and said that a new rocket Falcon 9 is almost ready for a new release that could occur in a few months when it will carry the Dragon capsule in orbit that would able once to transport materials or manned International Space Station as part of a contract with NASA. Yesterday, nasa curiosity the inaugural flight, Falcon 9, carrying only a model of future Dragon capsule.
Well it is, but I do not believe in private exploration of outer space. I would love to be wrong, but I think necessary financial and human resources can not come (only) in the private sector. I would appreciate that SpaceX aim to reach Mars, not the moon, although I do not know what benefits and what sources of income would be a private firm beyond Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
And well you say that money will come from the private sector. Currently SpaceX won two contracts with NASA, one of $ 270 million ($ 240 million already paid) and the other worth $ 1.6 billion. The value of private investment nasa curiosity is estimated around nasa curiosity $ 500 millions. nasa curiosity
